An opportunity to disconnect, unwind, and leave the city behind
Nesteld amongst a tranquil eucalypt forest on the outskirts of Mooloola
A fully self-contained luxurious and private retreat with stunning features
The diversity of birdlife in and around the property is truly amazing
Situated on 18 acres of towering gums on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Mooloolah, our retreat is home to a small but ancient rainforest where a cluster of King Ferns flourish in their natural environment. You can wander our forest pathways in order to view these ferns. They are rare, nestled deep in our rainforest, and the only other recorded sightings in South East Queensland have been on Fraser Island and Carnarvon Gorge.
This retreat conveys openness, tranquillity, luxury. Lay back, rest your eyes, savour the smells of the forest in flower and enjoy the silence of the Australian bush broken only by bird song, rain on a tin roof, and the wind rustling through the trees. Located midway between the art galleries and restaurants of Montville and Maleny and the beach scene of Caloundra and Mooloolaba, Kingfern at Mooloolah is the perfect base from which to set out and explore.
Your time to relax begins on arrival with a platter of local cheeses with seasonal fruit plus your choice of white, red or sparkling wine. Take full advantage of the bath foam and aromatherapy soy candles and luxuriate in the soft caress and warm embrace of the deep double spa bath. Enjoy the decadent rain shower, organic toiletries, luxurious bathrobes and slippers, make you way to the day bed on the deck, close your eyes, and breathe.
